Perfect Home for the Holiday! FOXES!!

Tonyia L.Northfield, MN

Our extended family wanted to be together for the holiday. This was the perfect property for the nine of us, ages 2-62.

A useful manual was available with all the home and area information. So very helpful!

BONUS!! There was a pair of foxes in the neighborhood. They liked to spend time in the yard here and it was fun to watch them pounce and hunt.

We prefer to do our own cooking when we gather and this kitchen was super-duper stocked with any kitchen tool and gadget that we could possibly imagine. We kept being amazed! The dining table sat all nine of us, with the two year old in the provided high chair. (another awesome item!).

The main floor living area was very sunny and kept the whole area warm and cozy. We played many games at the dining table, and with the others in the room we could carry on group conversations. We were able to play games, read books, and (of course) spend time on our phones keeping up with the world. Cell signal was very good. Wifi was easy to access.

The weather was mild with temps in the 20-30 range. We drove to the Rainbow Gulch trailhead and hiked to Rampart Reservoir. We hiked several additional days in the wilderness area within walking distance just up at the end of the road at the top of the hill.

We retreated to the lower level as the small ones settled in for the night. The convenience of the gas fireplace was appreciated, as the lower level stays a bit cooler than the main floor. Comfy couches and we watched our traditional holiday movies we brought from home. But there were tons of DVDs available if we wanted to see anything more. And TOYS for the kids (another great hit).

The master bedroom was large enough to set a camping bunk bed up at the foot of the bed for the 2 & 6 year olds. The kids loved the large bathtub and found the giant walk in closet to be a great hide and seek spot.

The cooler lower level made for comfortable sleeping for our Minnesota part of the family. (we prefer it much cooler than everyone else)

We all drove – from GA, MN, and CO. There was good parking space for the vehicles and being able to put two of them in the garage was nice. Our crew cab long box F150 pickup fit in the garage.

We had some questions in advance of our stay and they were answered promptly.
